Tawa is a small eatery in one of the quiet alleys of Koramangala 1st block. Truly speaking, there's no ambience at all, it is a place with 4 tables and chairs where you can get good, pocket-friendly home cooked, Bihari food.
Last night I had a veg thali comprising unlimited servings of chapattis, rice, dal, okhra fry, alu tamatar ki sabzi, salad along with a plate of chicken curry with three chunky pieces. The veg curries in the veg thali are subject to change everyday. The thali was charged Rs 80 and the chicken curry was priced at Rs 120.
Here are my quick ratings -
5/5 for food: The food is steaming hot, and fresh. You can get as many servings as you want if you order the thali. Every item carries the authentic flavour of Bihari cuisine.
4/5 for price: The thali is well-priced. However I found the chicken curry to be overpriced, with only three pieces of chicken served for Rs 120. There's no GST.
4/5 for service: They provide prompt service. They do not have card payment system. They accept only cash or PAYTM (not super sure about this one).
Like I said before this is a place where you would go to have a quick meal, and not look forward to having a quality time. Thus I'm not putting this into consideration.
Will I visit again? - Probably, yes! :)
